Or “I forgot to check option 465.” But then who needs it:

I like how they released that on April 1st, and then went ahead and made one as a big fuck you to everyone.

If only Mercedes had the same sense of humour:

The F30 continues the tradition.

See, this is why convertibles are more practical than people think.

So...I guess the back seat doesn’t fold down?

They do, but only if you get the right package. Be almost foolish to think that folding rear seats would come standard on a BMW.
Seriously thought, I believe you had to get the cold weather pack to get fold down seats.

Nope. They were a standalone option for $495.
They didn’t come standard on the 328i until 2014. The 320i still has them as an option to this day.

They were also part of the cold weather pack, as you can see from my window sticker.

Oh, I was talking about the non-M 3-Series. I honestly don’t know about the E90 M3 packages too much. I just wanted a base one in Melbourne Red with the Competiton Package, M-DCT, and cloth seats. I don’t think I ever chose any other options.
Also, paging BugEyedAcura:

Sadly, I don’t have the window sticker for my E92. It also has fold down rear seats, but it also has the cold weather pack. I didn’t pay too much attention to the packs when I was configuring them in college. Honestly, didn’t really learn about all the packs until I was shopping for my 3. I got lucky with my M3 and it was loaded, I just wish it came with the premium audio.
I’ve never driven a DCT E9X, that’s on the to-do list. Drove an M4 with a DCT and wasn’t a huge fan.
I made a comment to him one time that my car came from his former place of employment.

A Dodge Stratus has a fold-down rear seat, 60/40 even. I suppose that’s why people think hatchbacks are more useful. I didn’t think any cars built in the last 30 years had fixed rear seats. Silly Bavarians can’t even get their cream filling right, how can we expect them to figure out a car.
